New Teaching Materials using the World Music Textbook
A full course shell, in-class activities, and other materials to help instructors considering adoption
We are excited to announce the addition of new teaching materials to the World Music Textbook! These open resources include asynchronous modules, in-class lesson plans with activities, discussion ideas, assignments, and ideas designed to complement and enrich our existing chapters and case studies. While not exhaustive, they offer valuable tools to inspire and guide instruction.
Additionally, we now offer a full sample course shell that utilizes the World Music Textbook. Instructors can link directly to these pages, adapt them to fit their needs, or make use of Canvas shell modules, which we are currently working on and will be available soon.
This is part of our ongoing effort to make the World Music Textbook as accessible, adaptable, and instructor-friendly as possible. By sharing practical, classroom-tested resources and providing customizable materials, we hope to streamline course preparation and enhance teaching experiences. Your feedback is invaluable in this process—please reach out if you have suggestions or resources you'd like to share.
